Synopsis:
Them That Follow, an American drama film, is based on a Pentecostal congregation in the Appalachian Mountains where believers use venomous snakes to judge who is ready to repent. The story follows Mara, daughter of the Pastor Lemuel, who has a secret buried under her skin that could tear the church apart. While she is in a relationship with a non-believer, she agrees to marry a congregant chosen by her father to appease him. If her secret is unearthed, she could end up losing her life as well as her lover. Whether she decides to put her life & heart at stake and believe the community’s matriarch or not forms the rest of the story.
