Synopsis:
The Ottoman Lieutenant is a war drama film telling the story of love amidst the world war. A woman, strong willed and brave, enters America once fed up with her life back home where she fell victim to all kinds of injustices. An American doctor Jude makes her migration possible and she looks ahead for a good life. The American doctor works at the Ottoman Empire and is a diehard patriot and somehow expects the same from the woman, whom he sheltered. But things don’t go well all the time as the love comes in between. The world around her turns savage as the war approaches and she finds herself falling head over heels in love with a high ranking officer from the enemy territory. This will test her love and her strength as she tries to keep her feelings safe from the inhumane things going on around her. The film deals with the themes of love, passion and willpower. The film received a brief release in December 2016 due to the Oscar consideration, a much wider release is expected in March 2017 and the initial reviews have been great.
