Synopsis:
The Goldfinch, an American drama film, is a cinematic adaptation of the bestseller and awarded novel of the same name by Donna Tartt. The plot revolves around the life of Theodore “Theo” Decker whose life changed after her mother’s death in an incident. When Theo was 13 years old, his mother got killed in a bombing in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. After this tragedy, Theo underwent several phases of his life including redemption and reinvention, guilt and grief, as well as love. However, through all the ups and downs in his life, there was one thing that keeps him motivated and going on, a painting of a Goldfinch bird chained to its perch.
