Synopsis:
The Current War: Director’s Cut, an American biography drama movie, is the story of 2 electricity titans and the fight between the 2 to make the modern world’s source of power. While Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse are shown engaged in a cut-throat competition, the movie also puts light on Tesla’s brilliance and vulnerability. Originally released at the Toronto International Film Festival, the movie faced a negative backlash. However, Gomez-Rejon proposed the new director’s cut stating that this is what he envisioned in the first place but failed to produce.
