Shoplifters Synopsis:

Shoplifters, a Japanese drama film, is the story of a group that lives in poverty and the hardships it faces for survival. Osamu, a day labourer, is forced to leave his job following an ankle injury and the family relies on the pension earned by Hatsue, an elderly woman and the owner of the home, along with shoplifting done by Osamu & his son. One fine day, the shoplifter-duo finds a small girl freezing in the cold with no one to take care of her. While they take the girl in for shelter and keep her forever, some hidden secrets put their bonds & loyalty to test, creating an interesting plot of the story thereafter.
