Synopsis:
Paltan in an Indian war film based on a 5-day clash between the Indian and the Chinese forces, 5 years after the Sino-Indian war of 1962. The clash begins the morning of 11 September 1967 when the Chinese Commissar counters the act of laying a fencing stretch from Nathu La to Sebu La. The argument turns into a clash followed by an open of fire from the Chinese side. Suffering heavy initial casualties, the Indian side, supported by an advantageous high ground position, manages to push back the opponents. The clash ends in an uneasy ceasefire between the nations.
