Synopsis:
Miss Bala, an English-language remake of the Spanish-language action thriller film, is the story of a girl named Gloria who discovers her hidden powers in the state of trouble. Working as a makeup artist in Los Angeles, Gloria visits her friend named Suzu in Mexico. During the visit, Suzu goes mysteriously missing from a nightclub. Gloria sets on a hunt to search for her missing friend only to land into the trap of a drug cartel, where she is forced to partake in a cross-border smuggling crime. However, learning of her hidden powers, Gloria must use her strength, inventiveness, and cunning to survive and escape.
