Synopsis:
Kalank is an Indian Hindi-language period drama movie based on the era of pre-independence and set against the backdrop of 1945. The story follows members of an elite family having many hidden truths revealed amidst the communal tensions and the time of partition nearing. Earlier the movie was planned to cast Sridevi when Yash Johar revealed about making it with Karan Johar 15 years ago. Now, when the movie is ready, Madhuri Dixit is called in to replace for Sridevi. The atmosphere of tensions rising within the family put Dev, Satya, Roop, and Zafar in a battlefield of love. With the whole town bathing in different shades of love (violence & love), what path these 4 will choose forms the rest of the story.
