Gold is a Bollywood drama film based on the first victory of Indian hockey team after the independence. The movie is set in 1948 and tells the historic and proud story of Indian hockey team that won its first gold medal in Olympics games for India as a free country. The movie tells the inspirational story of all the players of the team and the coach that went against all the barriers and made their nation proud. The movie shows how this victory brought hopes and happiness, pride and respect to the country. Akshay Kumar is playing the role of the coach of the hockey team.
